Our Story

 

Purposely Simple's Beginnings: 

My daughter had extremely sensitive skin and eczema as a toddler.  I am a PA-C. I once attended a medical event where a prescription eczema cream was introduced. When questioned about the mechanism of action for the cream, the speaker replied- “we don’t know for sure, we just know that it works.” Needless to say, I never wrote a prescription for that product because I was not comfortable putting it on my own child's skin. That experience created a desire for me to make something that “I know how it works”.  After scouring resources about natural moisturizing and healing ingredients I went to work in my kitchen whipping up creams and balms that helped soothe and improve my daughter's skin without chemicals. I spent years refining and sharing my skincare creations with  family and friends. In addition to helping with eczema, some family members and friends were able to make it through radiation treatment with minimal to no skin blistering or burning compared to peers who were receiving the same treatment. Others used the cream  on closed wounds after surgery and had more supple skin with less scar tissue than their peers. Many of them encouraged me to start selling my "magic cream". 

 I am looking forward to sharing the same natural creams, serums and balms with you that I developed for my daughter and shared with my family and friends throughout the years.
